thankful

Everyday Matters Challenge #42 is draw something (in my case, someone) you’re thankful for. This is a sketch I made of my boyfriend Jeet a few days ago. I am truly thankful to have Jeet in my life—he is arguably the perfect person for me. (And he’s smart too!) When I drew this he was solving a 5 star Sudoku and he was concentrating so intensely that it inspired me to draw him. The sketch doesn’t look exactly like him but I think I got some of the major features. And it’s not bad considering that I did it really quickly and without the benefit of an eraser. He was impressed by it anyway, which was nice. Happy Valentine’s Day Jeet!

Cro-Magnon alert! :-) That is the best Valentine’s Day gift ever – better than anything else even my fertile and fanciful brain could call forth! Thank you so much! I could write volumes here about how thankful my “mushy gushy” self is for having you in my life, but that epic write-up might cure an insomniac of his malady with its sheer enormity! So I’ll just simply state this:
    “Single moments change forever
    Making all our world anew
Heaven blessed me more than I would know
    The moment I met you…”

PS: It would have taken me longer to solve that diabolical Sudoku without your help!

Oh, that almost brings tears to my eyes…the sentiment behind the portrait and Jeet’s comments too. How lovely. The portrait is great Carolyn, particularly for a quick one. Well done.
