family portrait
This is my dog Ruggles, who I love like my own brother. I was getting ready for work this morning and I felt like taking a break to draw a quick picture. I used to draw pictures like this when I was a kid, but sometimes its fun to regress. I used my .25 rapidoliner and Tombow brush pens. Lately, I’ve been drawing without pencils at all. I’ve been under so much pressure lately that the last thing I need is to try to be perfect in my sketchbook as well.

ADORABLE! Love the frame surrounding it too—really sets it off!
Oh, good for you for thumbing your nose at the perfection monster. I like Ruggles as is!
All Hail Ruggles, the great nobleman of Sutton, and her nobler mistress! Yeah, toss perfection out of the window and enjoy art as it is meant to be enjoyed.
Er, I meant “his” mistress – typo!
Gah! to perfection and to pesky inner-critics – go play with your very engaging little dog
I love this so much! It is as much fun to look at as it obviously was for you to draw!
It was really fun to draw Laura. Thanks.
