blind contour #12

For this week I drew an old box of thumbtacks that I found buried in a drawer in my Grandparent’s house. The lettering was pretty tough, but fun. Afterwards, I sketched it while looking and I came up with this:

Love the before and afters – well done. I think you did a fine job with the lettering in the BC version. :o)

It’s really interesting to see the two versions. And I agree with Terri, your BC lettering is really great, especially the “noesting”.

WOW! i CAN’T believe you drew it 2ce. very cool getting to see what it really looked like, and how your hand saw it blindly.

Why are you saying you started this writing, My family found Noesting company and that was the writing on our boxes, all you did was copy it?

Michelle, I never claimed to have “started” anything. I was just saying that drawing lettering (any lettering) while not looking at the paper is very tough! I sketched the box again to give people an idea what it looked like for real, that’s all. Most of drawing is just copying anyway, I didn’t mean to say that I designed the graphics or anything.
